KK-Net started life as an Apache web server hosted on a Ubuntu platform connected to a domestic local area network. This network has a fixed IP address pointing to that server and hence content could be accessed externally by using the numerical IP address. This was a test site for convenient content sharing.

Since then the domain name 'Keith.Balderson.me' was acquired and associated with the IP address so the site can now be more readily found. It will continue to be used experimentally, but also for 'personal stuff' associated with Keith's family. It may not be obvious that pages hosted on this server are anything but standalone - although they will probably have the KK-Net mark.
